About the client

My client is an office fit-out & refurbishment contractor based in Liverpool, who are looking to expand their commercial team due to an increase of projects won across the North West.

 

About the role

You will be working amongst the commercial team, taking on the following duties:

• Pre-tender & tender stage costing of projects - office / retail refurbishments and installations
• Meeting with clients to conduct site surveys for estimations.
• Ensuring best utilisation of resources to maximise profitability of projects and contracts.
• Development of client/PQS relationships to identify future sources of work.
• Undertaking take offs/developing schedules of works from drawings, specifications, and client briefings.
• Working with designers (both internal and external) and Project Managers to ensure coordination of bids.
• Obtaining subcontractor quotations & agreeing schedule of rates.
• Preparation of tender returns and estimates for bids.
• Providing relevant information for preparation of report / claims to agreed timescales Attendance at progress meetings to review variations/changes to contract specification/design.

 

About you

To succeed in this role you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in an Estimating or Quantity Surveying role 
• Experience with an Interior Fit Out contractor & CAT A / CAT B knowledge
• A relevant qualification (non essential)
