About the business
We are working with an independent construction consultancy based in Preston who are looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their team.
The business works on behalf of clients across a range of sectors and is currently at an exciting stage of its growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors, taking responsibility for their own projects while having the opportunity to develop alongside the business.
About you
- Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
- Able to run projects independently
- Commercially astute and confident dealing directly with clients
- Passionate about Quantity Surveying and keen to continue developing professionally
- RICS pathway essential, with MRICS desirable
- BSc in Quantity Surveying preferred, although HND or equivalent qualifications will be considered
- Consultancy, main contractor or developer background considered
- Subcontractor background not suitable
Duties
- Work on projects from early feasibility and design stages through to completion
- Take responsibility for projects independently, depending on project size and experience
- Work alongside a Director on larger projects where required
- Provide commercial and cost advice to clients throughout the project
- Work directly with clients and attend project meetings
- Work with contractors, consultants and wider project teams
- Support the Directors across the wider project portfolio
- Take on greater responsibility as your experience develops
- Opportunities to become involved in business development for someone who wants to progress towards a future Director position
