Senior Contracts Manager

About you

You’re a Senior Contracts Manager who knows the fit out and refurbishment sector inside out. You enjoy being involved from the early stages of a project, using your technical knowledge and commercial awareness to help secure work and set projects up for success.

You like having responsibility and autonomy. You’re confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and site teams, and you know how to keep projects moving while protecting quality, programme and profit. You’re happy travelling nationwide when needed and enjoy the variety that comes with managing multiple projects across different locations.

Your experience

You’ll already have experience managing fit out, refurbishment, laboratory, furniture, interiors or related construction projects.

You’ll understand how to take projects from pre construction through to completion, with a strong grasp of planning, programming, commercial control and stakeholder management.

You’ll have experience managing contracts ranging from around £50k to £2m and be comfortable overseeing Health and Safety, CDM compliance, RAMS and subcontractor performance.

A background in HVAC, furniture fit out or interior fit out would be particularly valuable.

IOSH and CSCS certification are expected, with SMSTS being advantageous. A full UK driving licence is essential.

What you will be doing with your experience

You’ll take ownership of fit out and refurbishment projects across the UK, ensuring they are delivered safely, profitably and to a high standard.

Your role will involve creating and managing project programmes, coordinating design and construction activities, overseeing site operations and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

You’ll monitor project performance, manage variations, protect margins and ensure successful project handovers.

A key part of the role is being involved early in the project lifecycle. Your technical understanding and practical experience will help build confidence with clients and contribute to winning new work.

The role is based in South Manchester with a mix of office time and nationwide site visits, including occasional overnight stays.
