Architectural Technician – Junior / Early-Career

Location: Northwest England
Salary: £24k–£30k (depending on experience)

Company Overview:
An established, small architectural design practice is seeking an Architectural Technician to join their close-knit team of three. The practice works across a range of sectors, including petrol forecourts, drive-thru outlets, and developer-led residential schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to gain hands-on experience and develop their career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of accurate technical drawings and construction information using AutoCAD

  • Work across various project types from residential to commercial retail-led schemes

  • Support the team through all RIBA stages as required

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure drawings and specifications are accurate and coordinated

  • Attend site visits as needed to assist with surveys or technical queries

Requirements:

  • Graduate or early-career Architectural Technician with relevant experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a bonus but not essential)

  • Basic understanding of technical detailing and construction information

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills

  • Enthusiastic, organised, and keen to develop within a small practice environment
